Community, Migrant and Homeless Health Centers play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high quality, affordable and culturally competent care. This workshop will provide a framework to explore and effectively address the impact of culture basics, health literacy, homeless and poverty through interactive trainings, resources and tools that support community health care clinicians, administrators and staff in providing culturally appropriate care.

Workshop Trainer:
Mary Beth Dahl, is a Program Manager and Quality Improvement Consultant for Stratis Health. Mary Beth currently leads the Culture Care Connection initiative, which includes working directly with primary care clinics on cultural issues and challenges. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Her background includes health care quality improvement work in disparities reduction with underserved communities, guideline development and implementation, utilization review, compliance,nursing, and has worked for nearly twenty years in a variety of capacities.
